Mr. Morse received his BS from Merrimack College and MS from Columbia University in Civil Engineering.

Don is Business Operations Manager. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta (Inactive). Don brings experience with business operations, financial analysis and management, and contract review due to his time as a practicing attorney and as a business operations consultant.

Kerwin is Financial Operations Manager. He has a Bachelor degree with a concentration in Economics and a Masters degree in Economics (with a financial focus) which has provided him with more advanced training in the area of research and analysis. Kerwin evaluates and manages financial performance and growth strategies.

Andrew (Drew) is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. Drew received his BS in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY. Experience includes management of environmental and geotechnical site investigations, preparation of design recommendations, design and inspection of foundation systems, preparation of phase 2 reporting, remediation of contaminated and superfund sites and landfill closures.
LIZA K. BILLINGS, EIT - email Liza
Liza brings experience in residential construction to GRANT, having worked as a finish carpenter and project manager during her tenure with a high-end general contractor, where she often dealt with issues of energy efficiency, remediation, and site control. She is currently working towards her second bachelor’s degree, in civil engineering, at the City College of New York. Her first was in studio art at Smith College.
MEHMET SAKAR, M.Sc - email Mehmet
Mehmet Sakar received his B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from Middle East Technical University and is a current PhD candidate. He worked in the Turkish Government as a structural engineer and in the private sector as a geotechnical engineering consultant. After 11 years of experience from design to construction and management in Turkey, he moved in to New York in May 2006, where he continued in construction and engineering consulting.
Betsy Gillard has a BS in Civil Engineering and plays a multi-disciplinary role on GRANT’s engineering team. She has experience working in both the public and private sectors of civil engineering and is particularly interested in sustainable development. She has worked on development projects in Nicaragua and is active on a project in El Salvador with EWB-NY.
SPENCER BELL, BPI CP - email Spencer
Spencer has over 30 years of engineering and construction experience servicing hundreds of public and private clients in the civil, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, electrical, energy auditing and planning, and related design and construction industries. He has over two decades of experience owning and operating a contracting business in New York.
YOACHIM HAYNES - email Yoachim
Currently an Energy Solutions Associate at GRANT engineering, Yoachim is completing a BS in Earth and Environmental Engineering at Columbia University. Yoachim’s technical interests are in renewable energies and their environmental and cost impacts. Yoachim has an interest in renewable energy policy and large-scale utility construction, operation, maintenance and finance.

Marcus Kambobe is a Mechanical Engineer in New York, originally from Zambia (Lusaka). His particular interests are in thermal fluid systems and energy efficiency. He is a member of ASME And ASHRE. Mr. Kambobe has an Associates Degree in network Engineering and is receiving his Mechanical Engineering degree from City College of New York.

Pam Short is part of the Financial Operations group. Pam holds an MBA and has 15 years of managerial experience in a variety of industries. She is experienced in setting up and using Quickbooks, is knowledgeable in all aspects of bookkeeping, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and preparing reports for management. Pam also has 5 years of banking experience including both branch management and commercial lending.
RACHEL LOVELL - email Rachel
Rachel is an environmental engineer with experience in feasibility assessments, project planning, cost analysis and client development. Her work experience has focused on analysis of environmental data, database creation and creation of sustainable water and energy infrastructure solutions. Rachel has worked overseas in Honduras and Mexico, and is currently the President of Engineers Without Borders CCNY chapter.
