Stephen is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts and the Vice President Emeritus of Engineers Without Borders New York City Professional Chapter (www.ewbny.org). Mr. Morse received his BS from Merrimack College and MS from Columbia University in Civil Engineering and he currently owns and operates GRANT engineering, a private consulting firm in lower Manhattan.

Spencer has over 30 years of engineering and construction experience servicing hundreds of public and private clients in the civil, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, electrical, energy auditing and planning, and related design and construction industries. He has over two decades of experience owning and operating a contracting business in New York.

Liza brings over six years of experience in residential construction to GRANT, having worked as a finish carpenter and project manager during her tenure with a high-end general contractor, where she often dealt with issues of energy efficiency, remediation, and site control. She is currently working towards her second bachelor’s degree, in civil engineering, at the City College of New York. Her first was in studio art, at Smith College.

Steve has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Polytechnic Institute of New York (now NYU Poly).  He has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years.  His expertise as a Solar PV (electric) and Solar Thermal (heat & hot water) system designer coupled with energy efficiency and building safety certifications from the Building Performance Institute (BPI) brings an Integrated Systems approach to reducing or offsetting energy expenditures. Currently, Steve diagnoses building for energy use and loss, then makes recommendations to help attain the greatest energy savings.  Steve is an avid skier which dismays some people because he likes it when it snows.

Rachel is an environmental engineer with experience in feasibility assessments, project planning, cost analysis and client development. Her work experience has focused on analysis of environmental data, database creation and creation of sustainable water and energy infrastructure solutions. Rachel has worked overseas in Honduras and Mexico, and is currently the President of Engineers Without Borders CCNY chapter. Rachel also manages GRANT’s website and social media presence.

Betsy Gillard is an EIT and received her BS in Civil Engineering from Portland State University. She has experience working in both the public and private sectors of civil engineering and is particularly interested in sustainable development. At Portland State University, she worked on development projects in Nicaragua with both Engineers Without Borders and Bridges to Prosperity. Betsy has been living in New York since January 2013.

Zachary is from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz. He majored in Environmental Studies and wrote his senior thesis on eco-tourism in the Galápagos, and spent three months teaching English and environmental awareness on San Cristóbal. Zachary moved to Brooklyn in 2010.  He has extensive sales experience and is transitioning into a field engineer. He is an avid soccer player and plans to travel to Brazil in 2014 to watch the World Cup.

Marcus Kambobe is an up and coming Mechanical Engineer in New York, originally from Zambia(Lusaka). His particular interests are in thermal fluid systems and energy efficiency. He is a member of ASME And ASHRE. Mr. Kambobe has an Associates Degree in network Engineering and is receiving his  Mechanical Engineering degree from City College of New York.
