Philanthropy

GRANT engineering Corporate Philanthropy Program is divided into two areas of giving:

Local Giving

Pro Bono Services     In order to help local charities further their missions, GRANT provides pro bono engineering consulting services and NYSERDA energy audits to nonprofit and community center organizations in New York City metro area. For more information email us at philanthropy@GRANTpllc.com.

WHIDC Partnership     An example of local giving is the assistance we offer small business owners in partnership with the Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation (WHIDC – www.WHIDC.org). We offer clients of WHIDC free or discounted engineering consulting services and/or energy audits as part of the NYSERDA energy solutions program, which promotes energy efficiency and cost savings.

Employee Philanthropy Program

“Team GRANT”     GRANT’s team plans quarterly 1-2 day charitable events and activities for team members to give back to their local communities or raise funds for their favorite causes. If your organization is interested in having GRANT help out at your next event email us at philanthropy@GRANTpllc.com.

Engineers Without Borders     The entire GRANT engineering team is actively involved in the non-profit organization, Engineers Without Borders (EWB-USA), contributing to both the professional chapter of New York City (EWB NY) and the student chapter of The City College of New York (CCNY-EWB). EWB-USA “supports community driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders.”

GRANT team members have held executive board positions in both the professional and student chapters to help developing communities around the world meet their basic human needs with sustainable engineering solutions to sanitation, hygiene, clean water, and electricity. They have traveled to developing communities in several countries around the world, including Honduras and Kenya, and have designed and implemented potable water distribution system projects. The GRANT team is committed to offering their expertise to Engineers Without Borders which ultimately aids communities in the developing world.
